Nishad Chimote is the Scientific Director and Chief Embryologist of Vaunshdhara Fertility Centre. He has done his Master in Biochemistry ( M.Sc. Biochem) from RTMNU followed by another Masters in Clinical Embryology ( M.Sc. Clinemb) from the Prestigious University of Leeds (UK). He did further Advanced Embryology Training form Crest (Singapore) and has been personally trained and worked with Dr. James Catt and is proficient in IVF, ICSI, Cryopreservation of Sperm, oocytes and Embryos, Embryo Biopsy, Laser Assisted hatching and IVF Lab Management and Designing.
- He is also heading units in other IVF centres in the region and other parts of India as a Lab Director with his fleet of experienced and well trained Embryologist and has more than 19 years of experience in the field of Embryology.
- He has been credited with the first Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (Single Blastocyst Transfer) baby of India and has now ventured into Non-invasive Chromosomal Analysis for selection and transfer of genetically normal blastocyst.
- He has also contributed to the Embryology Consensus which has produced guidelines on designing and management of Embryology lab and procedures. Also he is the member of Human Skilled sector committee (HSSC, Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Govt of India). He has also been the Joint Secretary of Indian Fertility Society (Vidarbha Chapter) and Managing committee Member of ISAR (Indian society of assisted Reproduction) and has organized several academic conferences.
- His interest in academics has resulted in training hundreds of gynaecologist and embryologist in the field of IVF and also represented India in International and National conferences every year, in addition he has several publications in National and International journals.
- He heads the Embryology Training Program at VFC and many proficient Gynaecologist/ Embryologist have been produced here in VFC who are have started their own IVF centres and also consulted on designing of several IVF Labs in the country.
